John M. Bringardner, Esq., Senior Partner, has over 37 years of trial litigation experience with over 30
Florida jury verdicts. John handles complex civil litigation matters, including bodily injury claims
involving automobile accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, bad faith litigation and general
negligence. John also handles medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and professional
malpractice matters. John has considerable experience with emergency response issues in long-term
care, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities and is well versed in infectious disease issues, such
as COVID-19, for these entities. He also concentrates his practice in insurance coverage, employment
and civil rights litigation.
John is a member of the Surgical SIU team and trial team. John's vast experience with medical
malpractice and healthcare matters makes him a resource in investigating billing practices and
ownership interests of surgeons.
John has handled several cases involving allegations of sexual misconduct of patients against their
psychologists. He also has in-house counsel experience with clergy misconduct allegations.
Previously John worked as in-house counsel for a non-prot organization in the Risk Management and Employment Litigation Division. In this capacity, John oversaw all litigation handled by outside counseland managed a litigation team of over a dozen attorneys. John has also worked as a trial attorney for a large national law firm where he managed a litigation team handling medical malpractice, nursing home, professional malpractice, insurance coverage, employment and civil rights matters.
John has presented at numerous leading industry conferences on medical malpractice and nursing
home negligence. He is a member of the Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA) and the Florida
Society for Health Care Risk Management and Patient Safety (FSHRMPS).
John earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. He obtained his Juris
Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. John is admitted in Florida (1982). He is also is
admitted to the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida (2003) and Northern District of Florida
(2003). John is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit
(2003). He is also admitted in California (1993).
