Rachel has specialized in workers’ compensation defense for more than 15 years. She believes that all cases, whether legitimate or frivolous, require timely and straightforward resolution.

Rachel studied Psychology and History at Marietta College where she earned her B.A. with honors in 2002. She attended law school at the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating with honors in 2005. While in law school, Rachel served as staff writer and associate editor of Law Review. She also earned the highest grade in Employment Law. Her practice is dedicated to protecting the interests of employers and businesses before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, Virginia’s trial courts, Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court. Rachel was recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021.

Rachel happily escapes the office to assist clients with in-house presentations, claim reviews, and Lunch and Learns. She has presented seminars on topics including injuries by accident, occupational diseases, total, partial, and permanent disability, willful misconduct, and Medicare set aside allocation and approval.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, hiking in the Shenandoah Valley, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and many furry Riordans.
