Meghan L. Theodore, Esq. is a Junior Partner in the Tampa office. She concentrates her practice in
premises liability, trucking liability, liquor liability and automobile negligence matters. With regard to
premises litigation, Meghan aggressively defends businesses in the hospitality industry, such as
hotels and resorts, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. This representation runs the gamut from slip
and fall accidents, negligent security, dram shop actions, and any claims raised associated with the
premises. Meghan also frequently represents national and local retailers, recreational facilities, multifamily housing properties, and third-party management and custodial companies against personal
injury stemming from product liability, negligent security and related general liability claims, as well
as wrongful death claims.
Meghan has experience defending commercial and individual clients in trucking, transportation and
automobile negligence matters involving both bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist
claims. She has obtained favorable results for her clients both at mediation and jury trials. She also
has experience handling roadway construction matters involving improper signage, MOT issues and
asphalt issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Meghan was at a large Florida-based, multi-state corporate and insurance
defense law firm, where she was a partner, managing a full case load and defending clients in both premises liability and automobile liability matters.
Meghan is a high honors graduate of the University of Florida ("UF") (2005). She earned her juris
doctor, magna cum laude, at Stetson University School of Law (2007). During law school, she was a
member of the Student Alliance, Phi Delta Phi, and earned Book Awards in a variety of different
subjects. Meghan is admitted in Florida (2008). She is also admitted to the United States District
Court for the Middle District of Florida (2009).
